R4 ACERT™ is designed to make practices even more efficient while enhancing patient care. DICOM, DICOM SR, and integrated 3D/4D processing increase accuracy during patient exams with higher definition imagery.

R4 ACERT™ DICOM for Sharing Sonograms
... takes your ultrasound system beyond the walls of your practice to the enterprise-wide level. With DICOM technology, sonograms are available to other departments without requiring file conversion. Images can be accessed when needed, improving the level of patient care and enhancing the diagnostic process throughout the entire hospital, not just the perinatal department.

The ACERT™ DICOM solution is based on standards originally set forth by the American College of Radiology (ACR) and the National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA). The images captured through ACERT can either be stored in a network or PACS, depending on the archival requirement. Using a standard DICOM viewer, any authorized personnel within the facility can retrieve patient images.

ACERT™ DICOM Features and Benefits

Mixed Imaging Environment
The DICOM solution from R4 ACERT™ allows you to capture and store images regardless of ultrasound machine capability.

Selective Send & Store
Now you can have total control over storage of your images. Once images are captured and stored in a local environment, you have the option to send selected images to PACS or batch send all images at once for archival.

Extensive Post Processing
The ACERT™ DICOM solution offers extensive post-processing features that give you the freedom to manipulate images after they are captured and stored in the R4 system. Some of the tools include annotation, image enhancement with controls for brightness, color contrast, zoom, and re-measurement.

Structured Reporting
ACERT™ DICOM takes advantage of the DICOM structured reporting standards to accept the transfer of biometry measurements. Once the measurements are complete, the user simply presses a button to “push” the structured report to the R4 database. The biometry data and the image is then linked to the R4 patient record for storage and retrieval throughout the enterprise.
